Hello my name is Gina Harris. I'm a local crochet artisan and retired veteran from the USAF. I love to crochet various items, such as ruffled hats, lap blankets and hair scrunchies. I learned to crochet while pregnant with my first son over 30 yrs ago. Crocheting has been an excellent stress reliever with its repetitive, rhythmic motions while working with just my hook and a ball of yarn. 

It offers a way to express my creativity by choosing colors, textures, and patterns to create unique, personalized, and functional items for my customers.

When I've Finished a project—whether a scarf or a complex blanket—providing a tangible sense of achievement, which boosts my self-esteem and productivity.

Learning new stitches and following complex patterns keeps my brain active, potentially improving focus, fine motor skills, and cognitive function.

Crocheting is relatively inexpensive to start and, because it only requires a hook and yarn, projects are easily portable, allowing for creativity on the go. It has allowed me to connect with our crafting community and create handmade gifts to sell in the community and donate to Banner University Hospital and Veterans Hospitals.
